She holds a degree in Medicine (2000) from the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA), a specialization (2003) in Psychiatry from the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre (HCPA), a master’s degree (2005), a doctorate (2008), and a post-doctorate (2011) in Medical Sciences: Psychiatry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She completed research fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, USA, 2007) and at Leiden University (Netherlands, 2011). She is currently an adjunct professor of psychiatry at UFCSPA and UFRGS, a researcher at HCPA, and a psychiatrist in private practice. She serves as a preceptor for the Psychiatry Residency Program at UFCSPA at the Presidente Vargas Maternal-Infant Hospital (HMIPV) and as a preceptor for the Psychiatry Residency Program at HCPA. She is also the coordinator of the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Outpatient Clinic and a preceptor at the Anxiety Outpatient Clinic at HCPA. She is a co-author of over 50 articles, with an emphasis on Anxiety, focusing primarily on the following topics: psychotherapies, genetics, panic disorder, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and phobic disorders.
